Have a blessed Christmas!

When you think about Christmas, what comes to your mind? Presents, Christmas lighting, Santa Claus, Christmas Carols, snow..? It's the time where families are busy shopping for gifts for their love ones. Taking the time to put up Christmas decorations together to bring out the festive spirit in the homes. There would be joy and laughter surrounding homes. Sometimes however, tension can exist between spouses because of the difference in expectations and it can get stressful preparing for Christmas.

Life is tough for many families in California this year. Maybe many are finding it hard to celebrate Christmas. But, with a thankful heart knowing that our families are together, let us stay close and be grateful that we have each other. Presents are expressions of our love to our love ones, but how about giving big hugs if finance is limited this year? How about taking time to create Christmas cards instead of buying? Focus on doing activities together as a family and enjoy the company rather than the gifts. Strengthening the family bonds instead of complaining. Make a commitment to do something special this year, to do all you can to protect you and your family. Will you do just that?

When I think about Christmas, I think about my family and the song: 'I'll be home for Christmas' always capture my heart during this time of the year. And I pray that families will choose to stay together and protect each other, this Christmas and always. Wishing everyone a blessed Christmas and stay safe!
